Instructions

PART 1 – STAR JUMPS:

  1. Start standing, with feet together and arms by your side
  2. Jump your feet and arms apart into a star shape
  3. Then, jump your feet back together and arms back to your side

 

PART 2: SCISSOR JUMPS

  1. Start standing, with one foot and the opposite arm further forward
  2. As you jump, switch the foot and arm that are forward

Watch Points

  • Moving arms and feet out/in at the same time
  • Chest upright & back straight
  • Squeezing tummy muscles
  • Shoulders pulled down and back
  • For the ‘scissor jumps’ make sure the opposite arm and leg are forwards
  • Step your feet out to make a star, rather than jumping them out. Move your arms out and back in with your legs.

 

Seated:

  • Curl into a ball, then jump your arms (and legs too if possible) into a star.
