Wolf Tilt

  • Stretches neck muscles, which is particularly important after prolonged periods of tablet/device use
  • Improves posture

 

Uses

  • Do this after long periods on computers or devices (tablets and phones).
  • A beneficial stretch for students who sit in the classroom side-on to the board (to stretch both sides of their neck).
  • Useful before completing upper body gross motor activities (e.g. javelin throw, shot put).

Instructions

  1. Sit or stand up tall  
  2. Clasp your hands together behind your back 
  3. Gently tilt your head towards your right shoulder 
  4. Hold for 5 deep breaths then switch sides

  • Slow, gentle stretching
